Essential concept · Clearstory Exterior Care

Match the method to the surface.

Exterior cleaning is not one pressure setting applied everywhere. The surface, condition, access, and surrounding property determine how the work should be approached.

House soft washing

For suitable siding, soffits, trim, and related exterior surfaces, Clearstory uses a lower-pressure cleaning approach selected for the material. The point is controlled cleaning, not proving how much pressure the equipment can make.

Before work, access, open windows, sensitive items, and surrounding planting are reviewed. Existing oxidation, damaged paint, loose material, or permanent staining can limit the result.

Roof washing

Roof-surface cleaning is approached around appropriate application, controlled runoff awareness, and property preparation. The site should never imply that cleaning repairs a roof or extends roof life by a guaranteed amount.

If a roof appears to need repair rather than cleaning, that is outside Clearstory scope.

Driveways + hard surfaces

Concrete driveways, walks, and suitable patios can be cleaned when access and condition support it. Normal dirt and organic surface buildup are different from oil, rust, deep mineral staining, cracking, spalling, or previous surface damage; those conditions can remain visible.

Gutter exterior brightening

Exterior gutter faces can be addressed as an add-on to a primary house or exterior-cleaning scope. Clearstory does not offer stand-alone gutter clean-outs in this concept.

Not on the list

No commercial route work. No interior windows. No roof repair. No painting or deck staining. No holiday lighting or pest treatment. A short service list makes the estimate easier to understand.

How to prepare

Move small loose items where practical, point out fragile areas, close windows, and make reasonable access available. Exact preparation is confirmed with the estimate; you should not have to guess.
